Global Warming: Bad Science?

Ever since I noticed in Al Gore's famous global warming video 'An Inconvenient Truth' that his graphs showed carbon di-oxide throughout pre-history increasing and decreasing 400 years *after* changes in the climate that it was supposed to be causing, I thought that something was up. This video explains pretty well that the world is probably not in fact overheating, with some real science and some real investigative journalism (for a change).

You might also like to look at some of the articles on this page if you would like some more details:
The Myth Of Global Warming

I have watched "Doomsday Called Off" and done some research and I think (hope) you will be shocked to discover some background to the individuals you are linking to.

For example, the first article on "The Myth Of Global Warming" at http://www.ourcivilisation.com/aginatur/moregw.htm is by S Fred Singer, who "has been a consultant to various major corporations, including GE, Ford, GM, Exxon, Shell, Sun Oil, Lockheed Martin and IBM." -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S._Fred_Singer

Meanwhile, Sallie Baliunas and Willie Soon, both featured prominently in "Doomsday Called Off", are part-funded by the American Petrolium Institute and the Marshall Institute. -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sallie_Baliunas

The Marshall Institute "is a politically conservative think tank established in 1984 in Washington, D.C. with a focus on scientific issues and public policy. ... Funded by ExxonMobil and chaired by a former official of the American Petroleum Institute, "the George C. Marshall Institute has been described by the Union of Concerned Scientists as a "clearinghouse for global warming contrarians", and by Newsweek as a "central cog in the denial machine." -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_C._Marshall_Institute

Philip Atkinson, who runs ourcivilisation.com, is himself a writer for conservative US causes including Family Security Matters, where he wrote an article which "called on President Bush to declare himself "President for Life" and remove all Arabs from the Middle East so he can "repopulate the country with Americans."" -- http://watchingthewatchers.org/news/1290/conservative-group-calls-bush

Philip Atkinson states on his website "The list of popular delusions include:

AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the HIV virus.
CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) cause a hole in the Ozone layer so their use must be banned.
Corpulence is the result of eating too much.
Democracy is good government
DDT, (Dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane ) must be banned to avoid a 'Silent Spring'
Eating beef from cattle afflicted by Mad Cow Disease will cause a brain rotting disease.
Global Warming is a threat to human existence.
Jobs for all are essential for economic prosperity.
Multiculturalism.
Native Title.
Political Correctness.
The Courts are there to make people behave.
Violence never solves anything."

Monte Hieb, who runs the geocraft website, is a nobody, although his website, hosted by ChristianWebHosting.com, links to the following fossil fuel resources:

The Coal Classroom
Coal Quiz and FAQ about coal
U.S. Coal Supply and Demand: 1998 Review
Mineralogy Database
Journal of Geology
Electronic Field Trip to a COAL MINE
World Coal Institute
Monty Python- Coal Mining including the quote "Coal mining is a wonderful thing"

etc... I could go on, there's plenty of juicy bits (Philip Atkinson for example had all articles by him removed from the Family Security Matters website after his article, which was disowned by the editor, while other individuals have been disowned by their universities, have admitted they were wrong, have also lobbied for other failed causes such as "CFCs don't cause ozone depletion" and "second hand smoking doesn't cause lung cancer".

I don't have much more time but I do need to ask you why you are giving airtime to these creeps. How can you be a party to their deception? Please, check your sources, it looks to me like you are merely spreading the propaganda of the fossil fuel industry.
